Half-Marathon (13.1 miles) USATF Certified

Half Marathon Course Description

Start  in Minnehaha Park on West River Parkway.  North on West River Parkway to Lake Street Bridge. East across Bridge into St. Paul.  South on East Mississippi River Blvd. to Ford Bridge.  Continue South on Mississippi River Blvd. which crosses Hwy. 5 and becomes Shepard Road.  Course continues to turn around point approximately 300 feet NE of Rankin and returns to Ford Bridge to cross Ford Bridge into Minneapolis.  Finish line on Godfrey Road adjacent to Minnehaha Park.

Start and Finish line are the same location.

The Half-Marathon will have a total of 5 stops at mile 3, 6, 8, 10, and 12.  Mile 3.1 will have only water available.  Mile 6 and 12 will have water and Gatorade.  Mile 8 and 10 will have water, Gatorade and a variety of gel energy packs will be available. One portable toilet will be located at each water station.  Please note the one portable toilet is a courtesy for volunteers that are there to assist you but is available for any runners needing it as well.

All participants are expected to complete the course by Noon when officials expect to re-open all roads including the finish line.  Because of this any half marathoners reaching the 5.45 mile point (under the Ford Bridge) in over 75 minutes will be re-routed to merge with the 10K runners and will then finish with an official 10K time instead of a half marathon finisher time. If anyone refuses to abide by these rules set for safety and liability reasons they will be subject to a complete disqualification.
